Mapal Group's sales in 2015 rose by 6% to Euro 540 million

Mapal Group's consolidated sales in 2015 rose by 6% to Euro 540 million, company announced. “The result shows that we are on the right track with our investments and innovations. We have achieved the goal of a further increase in sales that we set ourselves for 2015,” says President Dr. Dieter Kress. Parallel to the turnover, the number of employees also rose by 5% – from 4,500 to 4,800 worldwide. Mapal Group has over 3,300 employees in Germany.

The family-owned company reinvests 8% of its turnover in research and development. The investments at the Group’s German sites are also continuing.

“In addition to the ongoing investments in new machines, we are further expanding the competence centre of solid carbide tools in Altenstadt in order to create new capacities,” says Dr. Kress, emphasising the clear commitment to Germany as a business site.
